Hey you guysss!!
So today’s post (more like a dream) is about the places I have to visit before I die (like I’m coming back as a ghost and visiting if required). This was a list I have been having for as long as I could remember (no jokes, have even the print outs of the pictures and stuck on my wall). So without ranting much (I can go on about my beautiful wall of dreams) my TRAVEL BUCKET LIST:
1: TAJ MAHAL – INDIA
Though I did visit this beauty when I was little kid, my memories of this family trip are very vague. As everyone knows (and shame if you don’t), this huge marble structure is one of the 7 wonders of the world. Built on river Yamuna, the architecture is beautiful on it’s own, enough to pull the crowd. But the real crowd puller is the story behind this monument. The love of a king for his wife and how he wanted generations to remember her (Husband is very optimistic about building one for me, if enough resources are available).
2: LEH, LADAKH – INDIA
I had my eyes on this location ever since I saw the movie 3 Idiots. My fancy has grown all the more when the husband informed that he has visited this beauty and he wants to take me there. And the travel to this place you ask, it will be either on a bullet (and that my friends are what dreams are made off). I found ah-mazing website by the tourism of Ladakh to help travelers plan their trip, just in case: http://www.lehladakhindia.com/travelguide/
3. SANTORINI – GREECE
This beauty is know as the beach honeymoon destination of Europe. Known for it’s white town (literally all houses are white) and breath taking sunsets, this island is what honeymoon dreams are made off.
This my the honeymoon destination for my husband and I. But all dreams shattered in to a million peices (drama alert) when our wedding was date was fixed for Jan. Hell to the no we were to go to a cold place. Though the husband didn’t mind the idea of cold Greece (just like cold chicken, ugh), I preferred the idea of soaking in the sun and sinking my feet in the sand after a hectic long wedding week.
4: LAS POZAS – MEXICO
Built in the midst of the Mexican rain forest, this abandoned city is straight out of a fairy tale. It’s unfinished staircases and doorways call out to the wanderers who easily get enticed with mysteries and all they seek is wanderlust.
5. CICHEN ITZA POOLS – YUCATAN, MEXICA
If you need another reason to travel to Mexico, how about the picture reference above. Cenote meaning sacred well, has been named to this beauty for obvious reasons (I mean just look at the picture bro!). With a crystal clear turquoise colour water, this pool has been credited as the gift of Mexico. Oh, the Mayans used to communicate with the Gids here. so if you’ll want some more communication with up there?!
6: UNDERWATER TEMPLE GARDEN – BALI
Indonesia is known for it’s Budhist temples and the history behind each. But one that stands out is this statue of Budha that has been planted on the ocean floor for the coral to grow. The sight is so breath taking that no traveler can miss a dive to this beauty.
7: BALI – INDONESIA
And If you are already in Bali to visit the Underwater Temple Garden, you may want to stay a little longer to enjoy this lovely honeymoon destination. There is a reason why the island has been named as “Isle of the Gods”. And if you need more reasons to visit, that means you haven’t watched Julia Roberts at her finest in Eat Pray Love.
8. GREAT BARRIER REEF – AUSTRALIA
Moving on to down under.. Australia, home to the breath taking beauty of the world’s largest coral reef. One of the seven natural wonders of the world, the great barrier reef is actually larger than the great wall of China and can be seen from space (how bloody cool is that!)
9: SALAR DE UYUNI – BOLIVIA
Where you can touch the sky (literally). It’s basically the world’s largest salt flat becomes the worlds largest mirror. This place is so dreamy, just imagine watching the reflection of the clouds and sky. Like as though you are walking on clouds.
10: ICE CAVES – ICELAND
This beauty of a country has made it to almost as many travel blogs I have ever read. And the above picture will speak for it self as to why. From the scenic waterfalls to the breath taking norther lights, this country is full of captivating scenic locations. The outstanding among them is the ice caves that form beautiful crystal caverns (again, picture reference above)
11: CORSICA – FRANCE
The latest entrant to the list. And you ask why? TAMASHAAAAAAAAAA (enough said). Oh and I completely plan to execute my plan of dancing on matagashtii 😀
Below are a few picture that don’t me talking and ranting, They will speak for them self:
This was my bucket list. My way of putting it out to the husband (loud and clear) as to where our holiday should be planned for (also follow the order).
*Disclaimer: I don’t own any pictures. All ripped from google*
Until next time.
