First, thank you so much for stopping by and second, yo waddup bros? I shall start by introducing myself as Mrs. (whoa!) Farheen Shoaib Sayed (still taking my dad’s name), wife of Sameer Manyar (husband needed some recognition, that’s all you get bro!). A loving daughter (thanks mommy), pain in the *** kind of elder sister, good friend, corporate slave and now donning the hat to be an ‘amazing’ wife.
Being in a 9-5 advertising job (totally cool) and 3 years into it, I realised I was slowly drifting away from my passion, writing. I remember there used to be a time when I would maintain a journal, write all things blah. I even went ahead and took this as a mjor for my undergrad and I actually wrote for the local paper (was damn awesome) and even got appreciated for (total cloud 9 waali feeling). And now when I have decided to take a break from work (I finally quit and currently serving my notice period, yay to that!) I was like, why not give my writing another chance.
I know there may be no one reading this, but I’m actually doing this for myself, for the little girl in me who dreamt to make it big using her pen, become a journalist, write about bad people and probably fight crime (at least, I thought I could). Though I am not going to let that dream die, I will surely see that until I don’t decide to work again (let’s try that housewife life), I will maintain this happy space for me.
My blog will basically be a written update of all the fights with the husband, me complaining how difficult life of a wife is, how he makes up with all his love, how awesome it is to be a daughter, come shopping and travel with me, and also style, beauty and even help me in the kitchen to impress the mister! It will be my life in a pie, thick crusted from outside yet warm, sweet and amazing from the inside.
PS – I don’t own this picture. I got it off from one of the best blueberry pie’s I have tried at home and my sole inspiration to the name (content for another blog, yesss!!). Try out their recipe, it of so ahhh – mazing : https://cooking.nytimes.com/recipes/9290-blueberry-lattice-pie
